Allow the ignition to remain off for at least 2 minutes until high-speed lan control modules have switched off. The first step includes disconnecting the negative Battery Cable followed by vehicle lift and support. This procedure should end with removal of the air deflector shield and right front wheelhouse liner as long as the washer solvent container remains secure with its bracket. Start by cleaning the space surrounding the ABS Control Module before using a tool to disconnect its electrical connector which requires pressing the retainer and turning the connector tab forward. The examiner must disconnect the four screws holding the ABS Control Module to the bpmv before separating the devices and identifying that a faulty ABS Control Module requires replacement. Installation requires bpmv seal surface cleaning followed by securing the internal pump motor connector into the new ABS Control Module and attaching the ABS Control Module to the bpmv using four screws while tightening them sequentially in 5 nm torque (44 lb in). Before finishing installation replace the washer solvent container bracket, then put the wheelhouse liner and air deflector shield back together while completing the connection of the ABS Control Module electrical connector and locking the connector tab. Complete programming of the new ABS Control Module needs to be done before performing the diagnostic system check - vehicle. Afterward lower your vehicle and re-establish the negative Battery Cable.
