To replace the rear sunroof sunshade cable assembly start by removing the center and rear vent windows before you take out the rear sunshade motor/actuator and the rear sunshade. Start by marking where the rear track rests on the frame then take out screws from the rear track assembly before lowering the rear track and disconnecting its extension from the track. Remove the rear extension while disconnecting the sunshade drive tube from its track position. Push the sunshade cable through the barrel end to the track end of the vehicle. Securing the barrel end first, pull the cable through the motor/actuator compartment while removing the sunshade cable from your vehicle. Position the sunshade cable to the drive tube before pushing it all the way through into the motor/actuator compartment. Position the barrel section of the cable correctly within the rear track channel. Position the rear track to the sunroof frame where previously marked positions exist and securely fasten the rear track extension and drive tubes to the rear track. Apply 5 Nm (44 lb in) torque when screwing the rear track screws but first confirm the rear track cross-vehicle measurements show acceptable results. The installation involves first attaching the rear sunshade then the rear sunroof/sunshade motor/actuator and finally the rear vent window and center window panel.   To replace the sunroof sunshade cable assembly (front), first, open the sunshade fully remove the front sunroof window, then it goes through to the center window panel. Next, remove the front sunshade motor/actuator and the sunshade stop set-screw at the front of the track assembly. Remove the screws on the sunshade link to unhook it from the sunshade cable barrel and do away with the sunshade link in the sunshade channel carefully as it is always under tremendous hand. Push the cable assembly through the top side of the barrel using a flat-bladed tool while the barrel end is still inside the front track assembly of the sunroof window. Then, pull the cable longitudinally to get it out of the sunroof window front track assembly. For installation, attach the bullet end of the sunshade cable to the front part of the track assembly at the part where U-channel is using the cable until the barrel end is 25mm (1 in) away from the close part of the U-channel. Using a flat-bladed tool, push the cable through the channel until the barrel of the cable is about half straight path behind the rear end of the sunroof's track, viz, 32mm (1.25 in). Mount the sunshade stop set-screw flush with the front edge of the U-channel for the appropriate adjustment so that the sunshade operates as intended. Fold the sunshade one-half turn into the channel, then install the sunshade link into the channel and tighten with the sunshade screws to 2 N.m (18 lb in). Finally, install the front sunshade motor/actuator, center window panel, and front window panel and do the front sunshade initialization procedure.
