How to replace the Air Bag Sensor in the Front End on Cadillac SRX?

After disabling the SIR system, to replace the Inflatable Restraint Front End Sensor. Pull off the connector position assurance (CPA) (1, 6) from the wiring harness connector of inflatable restraint front end sensor (3, 4) and unplug the wiring harness connector (2, 5) from the front end sensor (3, 4). That is, the front end sensor mounting fastener (8, 9) has left-handed threads; take out this fastener found at the top tie bar and pull out the front end sensor from the upper tie bar (3, 4). Clean any dirt, grease, or impurities from the mounting surface before the installation . Mount the sensor (3, 4) horizontally on the mounting surface with the arrow on the sensor pointing forward of the vehicle. Mount the mounting fasteners into the 8 and 9 position" and tighten the fastener 9 Nm (80 lb in). Solder or shrink the harness wiring connector (2, 5) onto the front end sensor (3, 4) and attach the CPA (1, 6) to the wiring harness connector of the front end sensor. Finally, enable the SIR system.
