How to replace the ABS Control Module on Cadillac SRX?

Begin ABS Control Module replacement by turning OFF the ignition system because equipment damage can occur. The vehicle requires support at a raised position before workers remove the air deflector shield coupled with right front wheelhouse liner while remembering not to detach the washer solvent container. Clean the ABS Control Module location area next to the washer solvent container bracket followed by detaching the bracket for contamination prevention. Press the retainer on the ABS Control Module electrical connector and turn the connector tab forward to unlock it before disconnecting the ABS Control Module electrical connector for placement aside. The 4 ABS Control Module to brake pressure modulator valve (BPMV) screws require removal to clean the ABS Control Module/BPMV assembly surface because the ABS Control Module needs replacement if faulty. Disconnect the ABS Control Module unit from the BPMV component. Install the new ABS Control Module onto the BPMV by first configuring the internal pump motor connector of the ABS Control Module and then tightening its securing components. Secure the 4 screws holding ABS Control Module to BPMV by tightening them from 1 to 4 in sequences to 5 N.m (44 lb in). Reinsert and fasten the ABS Control Module electrical connector to the ABS Control Module while securing the connector tab. The vehicle must be lowered while reinstalling the washer solvent container bracket with the wheelhouse liner and air deflector shield. The ABS Diagnostic System Check must take place after clear any DTCs from the scan tool and programming the new module when it is a replacement.
