How to replace the Center Console on Cadillac Seville?

Before you begin console replacement start by enabling the telescopic wheel extension and disabling the sir system. Delete storage bins if needed then proceed to remove console trim plate together with the left and right console trim panels. First disconnect the shifter cable from the shifter then remove its fastener holding the Shift Cable to the front bracket before disconnecting both the park lock electrical connector and park lock cable from the shifter. Begin by disconnecting electrical connectors (1,2,3) from both side openings at the front of the console while removing the floor storage bin cover. First pull both front seats to the back to gain access to fasteners on the front console to floor. Then remove these fasteners to free the metal bracket arm from the floor while extracting the Floor Pan nuts from the console rear. The console must be separated from its lower instrument panel (IP) fixtures by removing 2 fasteners. Be mindful during console removal to prevent damaging the seats by metal brackets. Insert the Center Console's floor stud fasteners and tighten them to 10 n.m (89 lb in). Secure each metal bracket arm fastener on the console to 10 n.m (89 in lb) torque. Both sides of the console receive electrical connector installation (1, 2, 3) before the storage bin cover is placed onto its floor level. Reconnect the park lock cable to the shifter and connect the park lock electrical connector before connecting the Shift Cable to the shifter secured by the retaining fastener to the bracket. The installation sequence includes the left and right console panels combined with the console trim plate and storage bins or cd changer installation followed by sir activation and returning the telescopic steering column and seats to their initial positions.
