How to replace the canister purge valves on Cadillac Escalade ESV?

Chekking out all fuel vapor lines and nearby areas before removing the evaporative emission canister purge solenoid valve will help prevent bonding contamination. Start by taking the duct off the air cleaner outlet. You must first disconnect the evap line quick connect fitting from the evap canister purge solenoid before removing the engine wiring harness electrical connector from the solenoid. First disconnect the chassis evap line quick connect fitting from the solenoid while disengaging its retainer from the Fuel Rail before you remove the solenoid itself. To establish the evap canister purge solenoid mount position it against the Fuel Rail and use the retainer to fix it into place. Reset the engine wiring harness electrical connector to the solenoid followed by connecting the chassis evap line quick connect fitting and evap line quick connect fitting. Install the air cleaner outlet duct as the last step.
