Start by draining engine oil from the system before you remove the front exhaust manifold pipe. Disconnect the engine harness electrical connector from the oil level sensor while loosening all Oil Pan bolts. Clean and identify any issues of the Oil Pan by removing the Oil Pan with its gasket removed for disposal. Apply a continuous rtv sealant bead in the Oil Pan seal groove to a height of 3 mm (0.118 in) above the Oil Pan sealing surface. The installation guide pin en 46109 is mandatory for bolt holes found on each side of lower crankcase to stop shifting. Finger-tighten the Oil Pan bolts before aligning the Oil Pan to the lower crankcase. The bolt tightening procedure should begin with 8n.m (71lb.in) and finish with 12n.m (106lb.in). After sealing the oil level sensor port with a harness electrical connector reattach the front exhaust manifold pipe while filling the engine with oil.
