How to replace the cellular communications/digital radio antenna on Cadillac DTS?

The cellular communications/digital radio antenna requires replacement which begins with the removal of rear sail panels and rear assist handles followed by lowering the rear seat of the headliner while protecting it from excessive bending damage. Disconnect the antenna cable connection above the AM/FM antenna module while pulling off the foam tape along the connection. First disconnect the digital radio antenna connectors while removing the antenna bolt together with expansion sleeve before extracting the digital radio antenna. To install the new digital radio antenna first place it on the roof position and insert the pigtail wire into the shaft slot and fasten it with an antenna expansion sleeve and bolt by tightening the bolt to 6 N.m (53 lb in). Connect the antenna connectors before wrapping them with foam tape and reinstall the antenna cable connection above the AM/FM antenna module while securing the antenna cable with hold down clips. Proceed with installing the headliner onto the roof panel followed by rear assist handle reinstallation and returning the rear sail panels to their correct positions.
