  First disable all lamps and accessories through turning off ignition followed by disconnecting the battery ground (negative) cable. Unscrew the bolt securing the battery ground clamp then detach the cable from the battery. Before battery installation all corrosive residues must be removed from the battery terminal as well as the Battery Cable clamp bolt and Battery Cable clamp. Secure the battery ground (negative) cable to the battery using a 6 n.m (53 lb in) torque setting on the Battery Cable clamp bolt. Successful reinstallation requires programming the electronic throttle control system. Run the ignition to the run position but avoid starting the engine for at least three minutes to let etc cycle for re-learning its home position before shutting off the ignition to start the engine while it operates for at least 30 seconds. Press the Ignition Switch to run then shut the sunroof through its switch until fully closed before maintaining the switch activation for three seconds. After each productive switch operation in the tilt and full open positions you need to keep the switch activated for three seconds then re-close the sunroof by going through the same process. To calibrate power windows switch to run positions and press down until the window reaches bottom position followed by a three-second hold then raise it to maximum height keeping the switch activated for three seconds. During heat and a/c control head calibration press both the auto and off buttons simultaneously while maintaining the Ignition Switch in run mode for at least five seconds until stepper motors complete a cycle. Non-volatile memory stores the power seat and mirror memory along with radio channel presets so replacement of these components requires scan tool programming for the seat and mirror while manual reset of radio presets becomes necessary when the radio must be changed.
