The BTSI wire harness connector should be disconnected from the BTSI solenoid before pulling the park lock cable out of its shifter slot. Open the console side panels to remove the shifter assembly through its width. The installation requires you to re-open the console side panels followed by shifter assembly placement before you secure the specified-torque shifter fasteners. After the shifter backlight wire harness connector connection the park lock cable should be placed into the park lock cam while ensuring the cable locking tab stays securely locked. Fasten the BTSI solenoid wire harness connector and amount the shift cable terminal onto the shifter pin and secure the shift cable to the shifter by tightening its fastener to 25 Nm (18 ft. lbs.). To adjust the shift cable engage neutral position then loosen the shifter adjuster nut before securing it at 25 Nm (18 ft. lbs.). The anti-theft plate along with tamper proof fastener needs to be installed with J43146 tamper proof bit when RPO Code (T1A) is present. Put on the left side console trim plate last along with the console trim plate.
