Remove the strut from your vehicle and put it on the holding fixture (J 34013-B), strut lower adapter (J 34013-971), and strut upper adapter (J 34013-972). Turn the strut compressor (J 34013-B) forcing screw so the spring compresses slightly, then use the t 45 torx (R) and strut rod nut socket (J 42991) to take off the strut shaft nut. Install and use the alignment rod (J 34013-197) to help you guide the strut shaft out of the upper mount, then loosen the compressor forcing screw as you guide the shaft out until the strut and spring can be removed. Assemble the strut by first connecting it to the holding fixture (J 34013-B), and then put the damper rod clamp (J 34013-20) onto the strut shaft. Slide the spring onto the strut with the correct side of the mount facing up, then put in the upper locking pin. Once the strut is attached to the holding fixture (J 34013-B) and both adapters, put the alignment rod (J 34013-197) through the upper strut mount into the strut shaft. Keep rotating the strut compressor (J 34013-B) forcing screw clockwise until the strut shaft line ups with the top of the strut assembly. Put the washer and nut onto the strut shaft, then remove the damper rod clamp (J 34013-20) and use a t 45 torx (R) and strut rod nut socket (J 42991) to tighten the strut shaft nut to 85 nm (63 ft. Lbs). After that, take the strut off the holding fixture (J 3289-20) and fit it into your vehicle.
