Replace the valve parts by ensuring the Piston stays at top dead center or tdc because pushing down may drop the valve into the cylinder. Start your work by unscrewing the
Spark Plug and cleaning around the Spark Plug hole. Take out both items - spark plug and valve
Rocker Arm. Set the Spark Plug port adapter (J 22794) into the Spark Plug port before blowing compressed air to keep valves stable. Connect the valve spring compressor tool (J 38606) to the valve spring assembly and reduce valve pressure. Check the valve spring condition after removing its lock mechanisms and attaching parts. Put on the new
Valve Stem Oil Seal and set the valve components as valve spring first then valve cap in place. Use the valve spring compressor (J 38606) once more to compress the spring then put on the valve locks while brushing with grease as needed. Press down on the valve spring indicator before checking to see if the locks are at their correct position. Dump the air pressure and take the Spark Plug port adapter (J 22794) off from the Spark Plug opening before putting back the valve Rocker Arm and Spark Plug.
