  The first step for underhood electrical center or junction block replacement is to disconnect the negative Battery Cable. First use a tool to remove the retaining tabs at the underhood accessory wiring junction block cover before unwrapping the cover. Proceed by disconnecting the positive Battery Cable through the removal of its retaining nut followed by setting the cable off to the side. Unfasten the wiring harness retaining bolts followed by releasing four retaining clips to lift out the junction block from its bracket. After disconnecting electrical connectors you can remove the junction block. Mount the junction block over the electrical connectors until their slots lock into position in the bracket then repeat the process again for installation. Subsequently secure the harness retaining bolts by hand then continue by installing the retaining clips. Connect the positive Battery Cable by using a nut that should be tightened to 16 n.m (12 lb ft) while performing the harness retaining bolt torque to 4 n.m (36 lb in). Afterward, place the junction block cover onto position while securing both retaining tabs before connecting the negative Battery Cable.
