    First secure the area with masking tape to shield the finish then open the hood. Heat the emblem using the Heat Gun on its surface for 30 seconds while moving in circles. Then extract the nuts from the back of the hood to install the new emblem. Take the emblem loose using a plastic tool and strip away leftover glue by running the 3M(TM) Scotch Brite molding adhesive remover disk through it (P/N 07501). Use the Heat Gun (J 25070) at 21°C (70°F) to heat both the emblem and hood surface for installation when running the tool while avoiding dust or debris. Place the locating pins on the hood holes and push down evenly to fix the hood emblem. Secure the emblem nuts against the hood with 2 N.m (18 lb in) torque before taking off tape and putting down the hood.
