Start by removing the adhered sun gear thrust bearing (698) off the sun gear of the differential carrier (697) before proceeding to extract the Park Gear (696), then the internal gear thrust bearing (695) off the differential carrier, followed by sun gear shaft (689). Review the condition of sun gear shaft (689). Installation starts with placing the sun gear thrust bearing (698) with differential carrier sun gear (697) and park gear (696) and internal gear thrust bearing (695) alongside sun gear shaft (689) into the differential carrier (700). Afterward, install the differential carrier into the case and replace the case extension housing.
