You can start working on the Turn Signal Switch after setting the lever to its neutral off position and taking off the negative
Battery Cable. Use the sir system off mode before taking out the
Steering Wheel and steering column trim pieces. Release the wire harness straps from their position on the steering column and disconnect the multifunction, turn signal, and hazard switch assembly from its sir coil assembly interface. You can detach the multifunction switch from its steering column connector and slide it out of the bulkhead connector before taking off the screws that hold it in place with the tilt head assembly. Position the multifunction, turn signal and hazard switch assembly on the steering column by squeezing the electrical contact with a small flat tool while pressing the contact onto the turn signal canceling cam. Secure the multifunction, turn signal, and hazard switches at 7 nm (62 inch lbs) then join their connector to the steering column bulkhead and reconnect it to the sir coil assembly plug. Set the steering wire harness onto its connecting straps before placing the steering column trim panels and Steering Wheel when the lever remains in its center position. Reactivate the sir system before attaching the battery terminal again.
