How to replace the cruise control module on Buick Regal?

Begin replacement of the cruise control module by extracting the cruise control cable from its installation position at the left strut tower. The complete unit comprising the module and cable needs servicing. The first step involves both disconnecting the electrical connector at the cruise control module and removing the shock tower retaining nuts. The cruise control module installation requires attachment to shock tower mounting studs by retaining nuts which should be tightened to 2 N.m (18 lb in) following Service Precautions Fastener Notice. Reconnect the electrical connector to the cruise control module while you reinstall the cruise control cable.
