Before replacing the rear compartment lid latch you need to take off the rear compartment lid trim parts. Disconnect the two electrical connectors (5, 6) from the lid latch assembly before removing the bolts that secure this component. Separate the module cable from the latch before you can remove the lid latch assembly. Install the lid latch assembly in its desired position while paying attention to the Fastener notice. Position the lid latch securely with bolts then tighten them to 10.5 N.m (93 lbs in). Replace the actuator cable onto the latch before you join power connectors (5, 6) to the lid latch component parts. Replace the rear compartment lid trim at the end of the process.
