To remove the accumulator tube, first, use the a/c refrigerant recovery, recycling and recharging (ACR4) system (J 39500-B) to remove the refrigerant from the a/c system. Then, disconnect the Evaporator line fastener and the A/C Accumulator hose from both the Evaporator and the accumulator, after which remove the accumulator hose out of the vehicle. For installation, first connect the A/C Accumulator hose to the vehicle while taking note of the fastener notice in service precautions. Then connect the hose to the accumulator and tighten the connection up to 24 n.m (18 lb ft). Go on and connect the A/C Accumulator hose to the Evaporator and fit the Evaporator line fastener and tighten the A/C Accumulator hose connection to 24 n.m (18lb ft). Finally, recharge a/c system, and leak detect using electronic halogen leak detector (J 39400-A).
