How to replace the emblem/nameplate on the quarter panel on Buick LeSabre?

Before placing the quarter panel emblem/nameplate in position first use tape to create alignment marks that aid installation while protecting the mounting surface during removal. Holding the J 25070 Heat Gun (J 25070) apply circular heating for 30 seconds to the emblem/nameplate. A flat plastic tool with a smooth blade will allow you to safely extract the panel surface's emblem/nameplate. Every trace of adhesive must be cleared before putting on the new emblem/nameplate. To clean body panels use a 3M(TM) Scotch Brite molding adhesive remover disk (3M(TM) P/N 07502) while plastic panels require removal with a lint-free cloth soaked in Varnish Makers and Painters (VMP) naphtha or a 50/50 mixture of isopropyl alcohol and water. The Le Sabre quarter panel nameplate installation area must be dry before marking its planned location with tape. Heat the mounting surface to 27-41°C (80-105°F) using J 25070 (J 25070) and set the emblem/nameplate temperature to between 29-32°C (85-90°F). Apply equal pressure to the mounting surface when sticking your emblem/nameplate by placing it at proper marks on this surface after removing its protective liner while avoiding contact with the adhesive backing. Take the protective tape off the mounting surface as the final step.
