Go ahead and disconnect the cruise control cable as well as the electrical connector to replace the module for cruise control. Now unfasten the cruise control module bracket retaining screws (1, 3) and extract the cruise control module and bracket assembly from the left-hand side of the vehicle. The cruise control module should then be removed to the bracket fasteners and cruise control module pulled from the bracket. For installation, mount the cruise control module to the bracket, then fasten the module to bracket fasteners, tightening to 7.5 N.m (66 lb in). Replace the cruise control module and bracket assembly to the vehicle and tighten with module retaining fasteners (1, 3) at 9 N.m (80 lb in). Reconnect electrical connector ,and cruise control cable, also, regardless of replacement, the cruise control cable does not require mechanical adjustment, the module within the system adjusts the cable. Finally, inspect the component operation.
