How to service and repair the Trunk Lock Cylinder on Buick Century?

You must start by opening the rear compartment then pulling out the retainer from the rear compartment lock cylinder to take it out. Then remove the rear compartment lock cylinder actuator cable from the lock cylinder and retrieve both components as well as the gasket from the rear compartment lid. Install the new lock cylinder and gasket onto the rear compartment lid before pressing the retainer onto the lock cylinder. Finish installation by joining the actuator cable to the lock cylinder followed by closing the rear compartment lid.
