How to replace the piston, connecting rod, and bearing in an engine on 2010 GMC Terrain?

Remove oil pan, cylinder head. If ridge exists, lower piston, protect with cloth, use J 24270 to cut ridge. Raise piston, clear debris, mark rods and caps, remove hardware, extract assembly with J-43966-1. Clean bores, oil parts, reinstall with proper tools, markings, torque, clearance, then refit head, pan.
