How to replace the Heated Oxygen Sensor - Bank 1 Sensor 1 on 2010 GMC Sierra 1500?

To replace the Heated Oxygen Sensor 1 - Bank 1, first set the vehicle upright and support it. For a 2-wheel drive (2WD), remove the connector position assurance (CPA) retainer and then remove the HO2S pigtail electrical connector from engine wiring harness electrical connector . For the 4-wheel drive (4WD), first take off the CPA retainer and after that, take off the engine wiring harness electrical connector from the HO2S pigtail electrical connector . Secondly, unclip the HO2S pigtail electrical connector from the fuel line bracket and take it out together with the HO2S. When installing, using the old sensor, coat the threads with an anti-seize compound GM P/N 12377953 (or similar) due to the use of a special anti-seize compound on the HO2S threads to aid in removal in the future. Mount the HO2S , and tighten it with 42 Nm (31 lb ft). For a 4WD, mount the HO2S pigtail electrical connector clip to the fuel line bracket, and mount the engine wiring harness electrical connector to the HO2S pigtail electrical connector and mount the CPA retainer. For a 2WD, you connect the HO2S pigtail electrical connector with the engine wiring harness electrical connector and then you connect the CPA retainer. Finally, lower the vehicle.
