How to replace the LH exhaust heat shield on 2010 Chevrolet Traverse?

The first step to replace the left side exhaust manifold heat shield requires removal of the fuel injector sight shield. The first task is to disconnect the engine wiring harness electrical connector from the heated oxygen sensor (HO2S) electrical connector and separate the HO2S electrical connector retainer from the engine wiring harness clip . Begin by removing the exhaust manifold heat shield bolts before pulling the shield upward while rising over the HO2S pigtail. Insert the new exhaust manifold heat shield on top of the HO2S pigtail before you install the exhaust manifold heat shield bolts which need to be tightened to 10 Nm (89 lb in). Finish the procedure by connecting the engine wiring harness electrical connector to the HO2S electrical connector then replace the wiring harness clip retainer followed by reinstallation of the fuel injector sight shield.
