The first step in suction hose replacement requires recovery of refrigerant. After recovering the refrigerant you should remove the air cleaner outlet duct. You should disconnect the suction hose bracket nut before removing the bracket. After releasing the bolt on the A/C Compressor suction hose/pipe disconnect it from the A/C Compressor. Before complete suction hose/pipe removal the technician must first disconnect the suction hose/pipe from the txv tube and then remove the suction hose/pipe nut from the txv tube. The replacement process involves throwing away outdated suction hose/pipe o-rings before mounting fresh o-rings onto the suction hose/pipe. You should attach the suction hose/pipe to the txv tube while tightening the txv nut to 9 nm (80 lb in). Next install the suction hose/pipe to the A/C Compressor before tightening its bolt to 9 nm (80 lb in). The suction hose/pipe bracket needs readjustment before the installation of new nut to maintain bracket security then proceed with reinstalling the air cleaner outlet duct. The refrigerant system will get evacuated and recharged following a functional check on component fittings with j 39400-a.
