Begin by removing the two studs from the exhaust manifold heat shield and then remove the heat shield. Before installing the heat shield return it to its original position while following the fastener precautions. Secure the two exhaust manifold heat shield studs at 22 nm (16 lb ft) of torques. The air cleaner assembly receives the air cleaner bracket through reinstallation and the nuts must be tightened to 25 nm (18 lb ft).
