Start by securing the Steering Wheel before removing the front tires and wheels assemblies then disconnect the intermediate Steering Shaft by removing its bolt for disposal. Puller (J 24319-B) helps separate outer tie rod ends from steering knuckles by removing both Rack And Pinion outer tie rod end nuts without using a wedge type tool. The Rack And Pinion's extraction process proceeds by starting with bolt removal from the Rack And Pinion and transmission rear mount before pulling the gear out through the left wheelhouse opening. Return the Rack And Pinion through the left wheelhouse opening before installing new Rack And Pinion bolts at 110 nm (81 lb ft) torque setting and reinstalling the transmission rear mount.
