Begin replacing the Evaporative Emission Canister Purge Solenoid Valve by removing the intake manifold cover. Begin by cutting the connection of the EVAP canister purge solenoid electrical connector then separating the chassis EVAP pipe from the EVAP canister purge solenoid. Taking out the valve bolt and the EVAP canister purge valve completes this step. Replace and position the EVAP canister purge valve keeping the bolt torque at 16 Nm (12 lb ft). The EVAP canister purge solenoid receives its chassis EVAP pipe connection followed by the reattachment of the solenoid electrical connector. You must reinstall the intake manifold cover as the last step.
