How to replace the ignition lock cylinder on 2010 Buick LaCrosse?

In order to change the ignition lock cylinder, disconnect the battery negative cable, and pull out the steering column trim covers. Find the key, fold it to RUN, and press a tool on the retainer in order to take out the cylinder. Install new cylinder, set to key to LOCK and re-connect battery.
