How to replace the oil pan on 4WD on 2009 GMC Sierra 1500?

On 4WD vehicles, the oil pan is replaced by supporting and raising the vehicle. If so equipped, remove the oil pan skid plate, drain the oil and remove the oil filter. Remove all the necessary parts, remove the oil pan and replace the gasket. Tighten all bolts again and check for leaks before lowering the vehicle and oil refilling.
