How to replace the rear door striker on 2009 GMC Savana 3500?

Beginning the replacement of the rear door latch striker requires you to start by taking off the rear door opening frame garnish molding. Start by removing the three bolts which hold the rear door upper striker to the door opening before extracting the striker from its position. Reinstall the rear door upper striker into its door opening with attention to all fastener cautions. Secure the striker through installation of the three bolts until they reach 10 Nm (89 lb in) torque. The last step is to reinstall the armor frame garnishment pieces on the rear door opening.
