After removing the transmission and the Flywheel, make sure that you do not damage the crankshaft or seal bore. Pry out of the rear oil seal housing using a suitable tool the crankshaft rear oil seal. For installation, use the rear seal installer (J 44227) to install the new crankshaft rear oil seal, making sure you use the plastic installation sleeve that comes with the new seal. After the seal is installed, pull off the rear seal installer (J 44227) and throw the installation sleeve away. Finally, reset the Flywheel and the transmission.
