How to replace the Battery Sensor on a 4.3L engine on 2009 Chevrolet Silverado 1500?

Begin work on 4.3l battery current sensor replacement by taking off the negative Battery Cable. Mark the Battery Cable position so you can reconnect it easily during installation after you remove the tape holding the sensor to the negative battery terminal. Locate and remove the Battery Cable clips at their current positions. Pull the side pieces of the negative Battery Cable together while watching how the battery current sensor sits before taking it off. During installation press the negative Battery Cable ends together while making sure the new battery current sensor fits both its installation orientation and marked location from the removal process. Place the new sensor over the marked spot on the negative Battery Cable and fasten it in place with electrical tape around its leg. Reconnect the negative Battery Cable clips to their proper installation spots before putting the cable back in place.
