In order to change the crankshaft balancer, one should remove the vehicle drive belt and lift the vehicle. Install the J 38122-A to avoid crankshaft rotation whilst loosening the balancer bolt. Install the new balancer with a universal installer with crankshaft keyway position. A new balancer bolt and washer should always be used, and then the vehicle should be lowered and the drive belt re-attached.
