How to service and repair the rear door check on 2009 Chevrolet Equinox?

When servicing the rear door check, the ignition should be off and the key to the ignition out. Should have: delete the rear door trim panel and lower speaker. Unscrew the check link bolts and nuts, and then pull the check link. Refit by adding the check connector, fitting the nuts and refitting the speaker and the trim panel.
