How to Replace a Power Steering Hose on 2009 Chevrolet Aveo?

Siphon the power steering fluid from the reservoir as the first step to execute Power Steering Pump hose and pipe replacement. Cut off the pressure line pipe from its matching position at the Power Steering Pump outlet. Start hose replacement by removing air cleaner housings based on the 1.2l (LMU), 1.4l (LDT), 1.6l (LXT), or 1.6l (LXV) engine types. Start by freeing the retaining clamp bolt near the pressure pipe positioned by the engine cylinder head before unthreading the two return pipe retaining clamp nuts adjacent to the left side body panel. First disconnect both the pressure and return inlet pipe from the steering gear before taking the return line hose off the reservoir. Detach both the pressure line and return line from the Power Steering Pump assembly through the vehicle. Placement of the Power Steering Pump pressure line and return line occurs first in the vehicle before fitting the return line hose to the reservoir. Join the pressure and return line inlet pipe to the steering gear and tighten its fitting to 28 nm (21 lb ft). Position the pressure pipe retaining clamp bolt then secure it to 25 nm (18 lb ft) followed by tightening the return pipe retaining clamp nuts (1, 2) to 8 nm (70 lb in). Secure the Power Steering Pump outlet connection with a pressure line pipe by torquing the union nut to 28 nm (21 lb ft). Reinstall the air cleaner housing according to the engine type instructions. Complete the procedure by filling the power steering fluid reservoir then follow the steps for bleeding the power steering system.
