To replace the Lash Adjuster on the right side you need first to remove the right valve rocker arms. Second, remove the stationary hydraulic lash adjusters (SHLA) from the bores to clean and check the lash adjusters. It is imperatively important that one must not stroke or cycle the shla plunger in the absence of oil in the chamber of lower pressure. Thus fill the shla with clean engine oil while being careful to not scratch the pivot sphere area of the shla. In turn, install new shla's into the bores and last but not the least, reinstall the right valve rocker arms.
