How to replace the Liftgate Body Control Module on 2008 GMC Envoy?

As a first step to replace the Liftgate Control Module you must remove the liftgate trim panel and disconnect any electrical connectors connected to the module. Unscrew the bolts that secure the module then pull it out from the liftgate. Secure the module onto the liftgate and attach the bolts by tightening them to 10 N.m (89 lb in). Reassemble the electrical connections where needed then add back the liftgate trim and enable the liftgate control module function.
