How to replace the canister purge valves on 2008 Chevrolet Uplander?

The Evaporative Emission Canister Purge Solenoid Valve replacement needs the intake manifold cover removed first. First disconnect the engine harness electrical connector from the evaporative emission (EVAP) canister purge valve before disconnecting the chassis EVAP pipe from the valve. First remove the EVAP canister purge valve bolt then extract the EVAP canister purge valve from its position. Begin by fitting the EVAP canister purge valve into position followed by installation of the EVAP canister purge valve bolt . Torque the bolt to 16 N.m (12 lb ft). Reattach the chassis EVAP pipe to the EVAP canister purge valve while you reconnect the engine harness electrical connector to the valve. Finish the installation by putting back the intake manifold cover.
