Before mounting the new or original sensor either apply a sealing compound to the threads or use a compatible sealer. The engine Coolant Temperature Sensor must be installed into the housing and secured at 20 n.m torque strength (15 lb ft). After filling the cooling system reconnect the engine wiring harness to the ect sensor electrical connector.
