How to replace the Knock Sensor for Bank 1 on 2008 Chevrolet Impala?

The vehicle needs to be elevated and supported for Knock Sensor for Bank 1 replacement. Disconnect the electrical connector of the left knock sensor and remove and loosen the knock sensor. Install the new knock sensor without thread sealant on the sensor threads because factory finish protection will get impaired by additional sealing material. Perform the following tasks to finish your installation: secure the knock sensor at 25 N.m (18 lb ft) torque while reconnecting the left sensor electrical connector then finally lower the vehicle.
