You should support the brake caliper with mechanics wire tools to hold it in position after removal from its bracket. Connect the brake hose to the caliper to shield it from damage and leakages. Before dismantling, take out the front brake pads first and then proceed with the caliper bracket bolts to remove the caliper bracket. First check the threads of caliper bracket bolts and the knuckle-mount holes for any dirt before starting work. Fit threadlocker gm p/n 12345493 (Canada 10953488) on the bolts for the Brake Caliper Bracket and secure the caliper bracket using these bolts at 180 n.m (133 lb ft). At last mount the front brake pads together with the caliper assembly.
