How to replace the engine mount on 2008 Chevrolet HHR?

The air cleaner assembly and windshield washer solvent reservoir need to be removed before starting the Engine Mount replacement. A hydraulic floor jack with wood should support the engine at the Oil Pan while you remove the mount. Unfasten the Engine Mount brackets from the bolts while also removing the nuts from the side rail studs until you can successfully pull out the Engine Mount from the compartment. Mount the engine component to steel rail studs while installing the side rail nuts before torquing them to 100 n.m (74 lb ft). The Engine Mount to bracket bolts require hand-tightening without using the Engine Mount to shift its position into hole alignment. Tighten Engine Mount to bracket bolts starting from the middle and proceeding to the rear and front with a torque of 50 n.m (37 lb ft). The installation process continues with hydraulic floor jack removal from under the Oil Pan followed by proper reinstallation of the windshield washer solvent reservoir along with the air cleaner assembly.
