The first step to replace the front crankshaft oil seal requires you to take out the crankshaft balancer. The flat-bladed tool should be used to extract the oil seal which is present on the front cover. Use Camshaft/Front Main Seal Installer (J 35268-A) to install the new oil seal within the front cover of the engine before putting back the crankshaft balancer.
