2008 Chevrolet Express 2500 Door Handle Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Replace a Front Door Handle on 2008 Chevrolet Express 2500?
A: The first step to replace the front door exterior handle involves raising the window completely until it is fully open. Remove the front door trim panel together with the water deflector next. Separate the lock rods attached to the lock before removing the rear run channel on the door. The next procedure involves removing nuts as well as the bracket which anchors the outside Door Handle to the door before pulling out the outside Door Handle itself. First install the outside Door Handle onto the door before fastening the bracket and nuts to keep the handle secured. Tighten all retaining nuts to a torque of 11 n.m which equals 97 lb in. Reinstall the rear run channel and follow it with the installation of lock rods to the lock and then the water deflector before installing the front door trim panel.
