How to replace the tailgate handle on 2008 Chevrolet Colorado?

In order to change the tailgate handle, unscrew the endgate cover and unscrew the clips holding the latch rods. Unscrew the bolts on the handle and remove it. In the case of an equipped one, pull out the lock cylinder. Install the lock cylinder again, fit the handle, screw in using bolts and reconnect the latch rods and endgate cover.
