How to replace the Center Console on 2008 Cadillac XLR?

In order to remove the console, disconnect the battery ground cable. Take out the shifter knob, console door and hinge cover. Unscrew the console nuts and bolts, remove the cup holder, and the ashtray. Unscrew the electrical connector and the housing. To install, place the console, fit the electrical plug and re-fit the parts, check that all pieces fit and attach.
