How to replace the upper control arm on 2008 Cadillac SRX?

First, lift and jack up the car. Remove the tire and wheel. Then, take off the upper control arm to knuckle retaining nut, so that the ball stud does not spin while you undo it. Apply and disconnect the upper control arm from the knuckle using the J 43631 Ball Joint Remover (J 43631). Then, pull and dispose of the upper control arm to frame mounting nuts and bolts. Subsequently, remove the upper control arm from the vehicle. For instance, during installation, all loosely install fasteners before tightening. Start by fitting the upper control arm to the vehicle, the upper control arm to frame mounting bolts and nuts. Mount the upper control arm onto the knuckle, followed by tightening the upper control arm to knuckle retaining nut to 20 N.m (15 lb ft) and an additional 210 degrees. Lastly, you should tighten the new upper control arm to frame bolts and nuts to 120 N.m (89 lb ft), re-button the tire and wheel, and bring the vehicle down.
