How to replace the engine front timing cover on 2008 Cadillac DTS?

To replace the engine front cover, remove the drive belt idler pulley and crankshaft balancer. Take out the engine front cover bolts and remove the cover with the gasket. Apply sealant at the crankcase split line, position the gasket, and install the cover. Use threadlock on the bolts and tighten in sequence. Reinstall the balancer and idler pulley.
